.:Lots of presents:.

Its been a crazy year with a new baby boy and lots of work.
I usually do something for Christmas - this year I've done a little iPad Christmas game, its free and you can find it on the iTunes store

This is my first attempt on doing a game so bare with me:)

.:Lots of Presents:.

Description

Want to be a hero? a real Christmas hero.
Then get ready to do some stacking.

Help Santa Clause deliver all those presents.
Play the 25 days of Christmas campaign or see how high you can stack in "Survival mode".

Earn cool achievements and brag to your friends - maybe even challenge them to a duel in "Survival mode"

Features HD Retina graphics and Gamecenter to track your progress throughout the game.

.:One hour VrayRT Challenge:.

I've decided to challenge myself!!!!
Everytime I have an hour waiting for a render or..well just waiting for life to go on - I'll try to do a new render of my old Chevy Nova´69 - I can only use an hour so what you'll see here is what I get done in that hour including post

1. The Motel
Final version with some small adjustments in Photoshop (sorry for the bad backdrop)
The Nitrous viewport
The VrayRT viewport
The car itself is somthing I did a few years ago - all ajustments and render is done in VrayRT meaning I have almost realtime feedback adjusting light and shader.

.:Tilt Shift:.

The following video was shot on my Canon 60D with a Canon 24-70 F2.8

I shot it with 3 frames a minute - To do the Tilt shift effect I went to Photoshop and constructed a grey scale image (depth matte) describing the distance from the camera - Black being the furthest away
Original photo
Depth pass from Photoshop
I did the the Dof effect in Nuke using my Depth matte, color correction and shake were also added in Nuke.

Cheers

.:Moose Studio:.

Ok folks it's a reality..well at least for me.

"Storytelling without the visuals is like a car without the wheels. Moose Studio tells the visual story. Whether it’s for advertising, architects, design or film/TV we will make it happen.
Delivering beautiful visuals is only half the job, understanding the client and developing a successful strategy for the task at hand, is just as important. We always work in close partnership with the client to do a job well done.

The Moose might seem young but the people inside, controlling the legs, the head and the brute force are some of the best and most talented in the business.
With many years in their respective areas, the Moose has developed a fast and very efficient way of getting things done on time and on price.

No job is too big, no job is too difficult and at 1200lbs. the Moose is hard to stop."

Moose Studio Was started by Myself, Peter Krogtoft and Søren Pors - we all have over 10 years of experience in our respective fields.

More to come until then please visit

.:A new short:.

Autumn is coming - the sun is fading - and I'm working on a little short whenever I have the time.
Here's some early work in progress. I'll keep you posted with updates.
As usually using 3ds max and Vray - AE &Combustion for compositing

UPDATE 11 August 2010
Added some middle/background elements - the tree is only for mockup I'm working on the final one - using Onyx as the base for the model and adjusting for my need.
For now I'm working with about 10.2 million polygons - the rendertime is about 5 minutes a frame (thank god for proxies) - usually a do the whole scene layout in one scene/setting and for rendering and final touches I divide in foreground, middleground and backgorund
Here's a shaded view from my viewport

UPDATE 9 August 2010
The foregound is coming along - Most of the foliage is done in polymodelling and then exported to VrayProxies for placement I'm using VrayScatter. The materials are 2sided which gives a nice translucency effect.
The Fence is polymodelling with textures from CGTextures retouched in Photoshop. Displacement maps are extracted and painted over from the original diffuse textures.
A little fella which will join the fun - I thought of doing a more complex feather system - but since the bird only will be shown at a distance I just went for a mesh with a simple rig and added a little hair and fur
The first rough animation - just testing the rig - its made fairly simple since the bird only is gonna be doing a small and fast appearance

.:Asteroid:.

ile doing a commercial project last month I did some R'n'd on the subject - heres is a small preview - Eventually the client went for another look, but I thought I might share it.
Done in 3ds max, fumefx, pflow and some compositing

.:Cottage:.

A test scene from last year - I wanted to test Max' & Vray's capabilities of rendering millions of polygons with full GI, primary+secondary bounces, animated lights, SSS, Translucency, Glossy reflection...
It went without a hitch.. (there are some flickering on the ground,- my mistake not the software)

Created and rendered in 3ds max 2009 and Vray 1.5 - rendered on a Dell Poweredge with 2x quad core Nehalem Xeon Processors running 2.8 ghz - The scene consists of 19.8 million polygons.
